Beatty's foot comes out clean

Finally, some good injury news. Starting left tackle Will Beatty had to have his foot x-rayed at halftime. Last year he missed seven weeks with a fractured bone in his foot, but this time the x-rays were negative.

"The foot feels pretty good," Beatty said. "It's just playing on this turf, had the new shoes on a just not really playing out there in the offseason and all of that. Just spatting my foot up. It's good."

The Giants practice primarily on natural grass, which is a softer surface that the FieldTurf at New Meadowlands Stadium.

"The x-rays were clean," he said. "We were just making sure."
