Michael Boley and Brandon Jacobs have some swelling in their knees and are on schedule to practice tomorrow, but neither participated in today’s workout. Tom Coughlin declared them “day-to-day” and both players were on the field watching practice.

Coughlin said Boley might have been able to practice today, but he was only doing some very light jogging. Jacobs was on a stationary bike and keeping it stationary – he was not pedaling – and he spent some time tossing a tennis ball against the glass walls of the fieldhouse.

Another player Coughlin described as “day-to-day” is David Baas (neck), but his days seem a bit more nebulous. He was not on the field for the workout, presumably inside getting treatment on his burner or maybe even seeing a specialist for further testing.

Justin Tuck (neck/groin) did not practice, but he was doing some running on the side. Prince Amukamara (foot) was doing some drills, but we’re not allowed to ask about him again for three weeks.

The two players who are on the injury report who did practice today were Osi Umenyiora (knee) and Rocky Bernard (ribs).

Two other notes from practice: Justin Tryon was wearing number 30 and practice squad addition Selvish Capers was wearing 60.
