Tom Coughlin did not say anything about the recent turmoil at Penn State, but he did reflect a bit on the career of Joe Paterno at his press conference today.
“Fabulous career,” Coughlin said. “I’ve admired him for a long time.”
Coughlin said he was a player at Syracuse when Paterno was named head coach at Penn State and he recalled Syracuse playing against him.
“It’s very rare that you would have anyone to have the impact on the game the way he has over the years,” Coughlin said.
