The Giants were focused on coming to work today having put the Eagles loss behind them. How'd that work out?

"I think they're a little quiet but I think they'll be alright," Tom Coughlin said of the mood of the team. "They'll come around."

Coughlin said he didn't try to snap the team out of it any more than usual. "I give them a 'Good morning, men!' and they give me (mumbles), and then I give it to them again and they jump up and down," he said. "They were fine with that."

A few other notes from today's presser and practice:

Dave Tollefson is not practicing and is expected to miss a few weeks with a sprained MCL suffered on Sunday. Coughlin said that the team will wait a few days to get a better idea of a timeframe before deciding if they'll put him on IR. He also said that rookie Linval Joseph will pick up some of the backup slack on the defensive line.

Mario Manningham was working at practice, but was limping at times. He suffered a heel injury during the game. Also, David Diehl, who was not on the pre-practice injury report, was not working at practice. We'll get an update on that in a bit. (UPDATE: Diehl has an illness.)

Coughlin was asked about the report that he threw Matt Dodge out of the locker room after the game on Sunday. "That's ridiculous," Coughlin said. "Absolutely ridiculous." Matt Dodge was also on the radio this morning disputing the report.

Coughlin was also asked about Antrel Rolle's comments basically guaranteeing that the Giants will make the playoffs and do it with a win over the Packers.

"I'm not sure what you're saying," he said, "but I know that's the feeling. That has to be the feeling."
