Very often people when say "When these two teams meet, you can throw the records out the window." Well, that's close to what Tom Coughlin has done this week as the 4-2 Giants prepare for the 1-4 Cowboys.

At least he's throwing the overall records out the window.

"As far as our team is concerned, we are 0-0 going into the division and Dallas is 0-1 and that's the way we look at it," Coughlin said. "It's early in the season. They're a good football team. We're a good football team."

Later, Coughlin was asked if he is surprised that the Cowboys are 1-4.

"I'm not worried about records," he said. "I just look at the tape and make my assessment of the team we're playing. As I said, they're 0-1 in the division and we haven't played yet."
