And finally -- finally because I have to save some stuff for newspaper articles in the next few days -- I’ll share what Tom Coughlin said about Osi Umenyiora and his recent visit to Colorado to have his hip injury examined by specialist Marc Philippon. While Philippon reportedly recommended surgery, Umenyiora and the Giants have decided to wait on that until at least the end of this season.

“The decision was made that it is manageable,” Coughlin said of Umenyiora’s injury. “Osi really wants to play and be a part of this team. I think he wanted to confirm exactly what the circumstance was and the doctor (Philippon), in talking with our medical people and talking with Osi, the feeling is that this is something we can manage. He does have an issue and he does have some pain and what goes along with this, but we think it can be managed and he does too and he wants to play. We’re excited about that.”
