The Cowboys and Giants will meet for the 10th time on “Sunday Night Football” in the 11 seasons of NBC’s prime time package, tying them with the Cowboys vs. Eagles for the most-played rivalry on SNF.

The Giants and Eagles are the third-most common matchup for NBC at seven games, meaning the three most frequent matchups on the series include only three teams, all from the NFC East.

(“Sunday Night Football” includes weeknight season openers and Thanksgiving night games.)

This will be the 37th appearance overall for the Cowboys on NBC’s prime-time package and the 30th for the Giants, the two most among all teams. Next are the Steelers (28), Eagles (27) and Colts (26).

It will be the 17th prime-time Cowboys-Giants game Al Michaels has called. Six of the past seven have been decided by seven points or fewer.
