We hear a lot about all of the Giants’ hatred towards the Cowboys, but not everyone buys into it. In fact, there’s one Giants who is still having some pronoun issues when it comes to his former favorite team.

Victor Cruz may have grown up in the shadow of Giants Stadium, but he was a Cowboys fan, a trait he inherited from his late father. Today Cruz spoke about just how recently he was rooting for the ‘Boys.

“I was pretty upset when we lost to the Giants a couple years back (in the playoffs) when I was in college,” he said. He also admitted that he used to wear a throwback Deion Sanders jersey. “I was a pretty avid Cowboys fan.”

So much so, apparently, that he still refers to them as “we.” Of course, he has a new “we” now and he’ll be trying his darndest to have his new favorite team beat his old one.

“I’m going to be thinking about my dad the whole time, he was the one who made me a Cowboy fan,” Cruz said. “It’s going to be one of those games you dream about playing in your whole life. I’m excited for the opportunity to make some big plays against them and overall excited to get this win.”
