The Etowah County District Attorney has commented on the investigation into Michael Boley and the allegations that he abused his 5-year-old son earlier this year.
“We’ve just been presented with some allegations that there was some child abuse inflicted on one of his kids here in Gadsden (Ala.),” Jimmie Harp, the District Attorney, told the Associated Press. He said that the allegations were made by the child’s mother and evidence will be presented to a grand jury if it’s determined there’s probable cause.
Harp also said he has not yet interviewed Boley.
News of the investigation broke over the weekend and was first reported by TMZ.com. Boley played on Sunday against the Redskins.
