Justin Tuck isn’t the only one getting frustrated by his neck injury. Perry Fewell is riding the same roller coaster, having his top defensive end feel well enough to play one day and unavailable the next.
“I know it’s frustrating to me as a coordinator to say ‘This day he’s on, this day he’s off,’” Fewell said. “You have high hopes. ‘Oh man, he’s back! He’s ready to roll!’ And then it’s like ‘OK, he’s not here tomorrow.’ I’m sure it’s the same for him.”
Fewell did say that he’s seen the blows to the head that Tuck complained about and probably caused the aggravation of the injury against the Eagles.
“I’ve seen him get hit in that (neck and head) area, more than once, more often than not,” Fewell said. “I’ve noticed it more than normal. Whether it’s happened in the past a lot, I’ve noticed because he’s had the injury he’s taken several shots in that area.”
