How bad are the Giants’ turnovers getting? Well, even the defense is talking about them.

Usually the defensive players will sidestep any questions about the offense, but after this performance in which the defense played well enough to win – but didn’t – there were a few glances towards the other side of the ball.

“Our offense is not going to reach their full potential until we stop turning it over,” Barry Cofield said. “We have so much talent. We have a quality quarterback. We have some guys hurt but even the guys we have in there are quality backups. We have a lot of playmakers and if we can just take care of the ball we can be very very problematic for any defense we play.”

Osi Umenyiora said he doesn’t know how the Giants will fix their issues – which continue to be turnovers and big plays against them.

“I don’t know what we’re going to do,” he said. “We’ve been talking about the same things for a while now. I don’t know what we’re going to do. We’re going to do something.”

Said Justin Tuck: “We’re lucky that it was as close as it was and that just tells you how well we played despite the mistakes.”
