At about 9:53 a.m. Tuesday, the first post-lockout GIant pulled into the Timex Performance Facility. It was Rich Seubert, rolling in through the gate and heading toward the players' entrance. A few minutes later he was followed by Terrell Thomas. Chris Canty and Will Beatty arrived too. And just like that, the lockout for all intents and purposes, came to an end.

There was no big "Welcome Back" sign like the one at Florham Park, no balloons or streamers. John Mara, the Giants' CEO who played a big role in negotiating an end to the lockout, was not out front shaking hands. In fact, he wasn't even in the building, having left about an hour earlier.

But football returned to the Timex Performance Center this morning. Somewhere in the building, phone lines are burning up over free agents. By the end of the week there will be football players on the fields out back practicing, performing drills, getting ready for the 2011 season.
