The Giants' chances of getting into the playoffs are uncertain. Who they'll face if they get there is far less.
If they do advance to the NFC tournament, the Giants will most likely spend the following week getting ready to face a familiar foe and answering questions about the worst eight minutes of their football lives.
Because the Giants lost to the Packers on Sunday, they can now only make the playoffs as the NFC’s sixth seed. That team plays the No. 3 seed, and while the Eagles are not locked into that spot, if the Giants make it in (meaning a Bears win over the Packers), Philadelphia will almost certainly get the No. 3.
The only other scenario that includes the Giants will have them facing the Falcons in Atlanta in an opening-round game. For that to happen the Eagles need to win out, the Bucs have to beat the Saints, and most improbably, the Panthers have to beat the Falcons.
