The Giants haven't played a game on the west coast since their last trip to Seattle in 2006. Since then the farthest west they have traveled is to Arizona, which is a two-hour difference from New York time.
Luckily for them, they get an extra hour of sleep on Saturday night as we "fall behind" with Daylight Saving Time this weekend.
Still, it's a long flight across the continent and it can do wacky things to sleep patterns and readiness.
Of course, it's much worse coming the other way.
"When I was over there we’d come here and we were losing three hours," Rocky Bernard said of his time with the Seahawks. That meant that a 1 p.m. start actually felt like it was 10 a.m. Now, the Giants will have a 1 p.m. start locally in Seattle, but it will feel like a 4 p.m. game.
"The good thing about it is we’ll be gaining three hour," Bernard said.
It'll make for a more groggy film study on Monday, but a win will go a long way in livening that up.
