Third place. That's where the Giants will finish in the NFC East. So that means the Giants know almost all of their opponents for the 2010 season.
They'll have home-and-home games against their division rivals, the Redskins, Cowboys and Eagles.
They'll play at Green Bay, Minnesota, Houston, Indianapolis and Seattle, which is the third-place team in the NFC West.
They'll host Chicago, Detroit, Jacksonville, Tennessee and either the Panthers or the Falcons, depending on who finishes in third place in the NFC South. The Falcons are 8-7 and the Panthers are 7-8. They split their head-to-head and I don't have the time or inclination to figure out a tie-breaker between them if both teams finish at 8-8.
We'll know the final opponent from the NFC South by next week. The NFL schedule is usually announced sometime in April.
