The entire Giants organization — from players and coaches to the front office to the cafeteria staff — helped stuff over 1,000 care packages on Wednesday that will be delivered to children who often are the forgotten second-hand victims in cases of domestic abuse. The bags will be distributed through My Sisters’ Place, a shelter in Westchester with a longstanding relationship with the Giants. The bags were filled with fun items such as water bottles and sweatbands, but also essentials that kids might need, such as socks and hygiene products. The players then spent time coloring pictures for the kids with a message that said “You Are Special,” then autographed the artwork and put it in the bags. Credit: Newsday / Tom Rock
