Hockey has its Original Six. The Giants have their Original Five, and they’ll be back together today.

Shaun O’Hara is active and will start at center, bumping Rich Seubert over to guard. They’ll also have David Diehl and left tackle, and Chris Snee and Kareem McKenzie on the right side. Oh, and Shawn Andrews is active and will be playing the extra lineman position when the Giants bring him in as a tight end.

Mario Manningham is also active. There was some question about that – although he’d been saying he would definitely be playing – because he had a hip flexor injury on Monday night. And with Steve Smith out for the season, the Giants were relying on him to play. Well, he is.

The inactives: Darius Reynaud, Michael Coe, Jake Ballard, Mitch Petrus, Jamon Meredith, Devin Thomas, Alex Hall and Linval Joseph.

Interesting that Ballard is sitting out. He ALWAYS plays against the Eagles. Well, in fact, he ONLY plays against the Eagles. The rookie tight end saw his only NFL action about a month ago in Philadelphia.

As for the Eagles, CB Asante Samuel and WR DeSean Jackson are playing. T Winston Justice is not.
