That’s the message for at least six of the players who just a day earlier had their dreams of making and NFL roster crushed. The Giants signed six of those cuts back to be members of the practice squad. No real surprises among them.
RB Andre Brown, QB Ryan Perrilloux, TE Christian Hopkins, DE Justin Trattou, LB Adrian Tracy, and DT Dwayne Hendricks.
According to reports from Seattle, the Seahawks made a waiver claim on OT Jarriel King, who was cut by the Giants on Saturday and could have returned as a practice squadder.
The Giants can keep eight players on their practice squad. C Jim Cordle is expected to be added officially tomorrow as the seventh. There’s still room for one more after that.
Several of the practice squadders have a history with the Giants beyond this training camp. Brown was a fourth-round choice of the team in 2009 and Tracy was a sixth-round pick in 2010. Tracy spent last year on IR. Hendricks was on the Giants’ practice squad for most of the 2009 season.
