Jon Goff was in the locker room today for a brief couple of moments – he was changing his sneakers in the middle of rehab work – but he stopped for a very quick chat. He was walking with more of a limp than he was when he was diagnosed with a torn ACL, an injury that happened in the first week of the season during practice.
“It’s crazy, right?” he said.
I asked Goff if he watches the games.
“Yeah, I have to,” he said in typical Goff straight-forwardness.
Obviously he watches the tape of the game with the team, but some injured players have difficulty sitting on their couch watching the games live. I remember Osi Umenyiora, when he was sidelined in 2008, said he tried to avoid watching Giants games on TV. But Goff said he tunes in.
“I watch the games,” he said. “I wish I was out there, but I have to handle my business right now and my business if getting healthy so I can get back out there and contribute.”
