The schedule won’t officially be unveiled until 7 p.m. tonight, but here are a few nuggets that are being widely reported to get you through the next couple of nail-biting hours:

The Giants will open on the road against the Redskins on Sept. 11, a way of paying tribute to the two cities that were attacked 10 years ago on that date. Nice gesture by the NFL.

The following week they’ll be home on Monday Night to face Spags and the Rams.

They’ll finish playing the Eagles twice before Thanksgiving, and then have to play the Cowboys twice in December, including the final game of the season at home.

Oh, and that Jets-Giants game that people thought would be played on Sept. 11? It’ll be played on Dec. 24. Yup, Christmas Eve. It’s a Saturday, so it could be on NFL Network. If that’s the case it will also be broadcast locally, likely on Ch. 9.
