Jason Pierre-Paul made a brash claim about the NFC East while speaking to Stephen A. Smith on SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio on Friday.

"We're gonna win it!" he said with a laugh.

Pierre-Paul expounded on his thoughts shortly after.

"Ever since I've been here, I've been here for five years, and each year the division's been up for grabs, you know what I mean?" Pierre-Paul said. "We never knew who was going to win the division and it always came down to the last game. But this year we're going to try to -- you know what I mean? -- snatch it and run with it. You know what I'm saying?"

He was asked about the Cowboys' offense.

"They gotta go through us first," he said.

He was asked about the Washington offense.

"They gotta come through us, too, remember that," he said. "We'll be ready."

There was only one team in the division that seemed to worry Pierre-Paul: The Giants.

"Nobody but us," he said. "Trust me, we got this. Offense is going to tighten up and they're going to do their job. I believe in the offense. And they know it. And we're gonna come out with a win this week, you know, hopefully. We have to do our jobs. Defense is going to do their part, offense is going to do their part and then most of all, special teams is going to do their part."
