JPP flips out

Jason Pierre-Paul's time on the field on defense

Jason Pierre-Paul's time on the field on defense has grown in recent weeks and that's a trend that figures to continue, considering the praise he's been receiving from the coaching staff. (Sept. 2, 2010) Photo Credit: Getty Images

Well, one thing is clear: Jason Pierre-Paul is feeling well.

The defensive end was standing around with the other defensive lineman towards the end of the media access at practice and all of a sudden he swung his arms and stuck a standing backflip. No hands on the ground, just a standing backflip.

Sometimes I do one of those myself just to limber up.

As for the rest of the team, injuries ranging from the serious to the nagging abound. The Giants had their top two receivers and their top running back on the bikes today with Hakeem Nicks, Mario Manningham and Ahmad Bradshaw all sitting this one out. Bradshaw did so some light jogging and stretching with trainers.

Michael Boley warmed up with the team and participated in some drills, but it did not appear he would practice. Neither Osi Umenyiora nor Mark Herzlich were spotted on the practice field.

The one bright spot: Antrel Rolle, who missed yesterday’s workout with a sore back, appeared to be fine and working today. Victor Cruz was limited yesterday but also looked to be a go for today. And Justin Tuck, listed as limited, could very well be limited today. It was hard to tell if he was wearing the practice shells that the rest of the team wore.
