Antrel Rolle was doing the talking yesterday, saying that he hopes Michael Vick will play on Sunday so the Eagles won’t have any excuses when they lose to the Giants and claiming that he’d covered DeSean Jackson one-on-one in the past so there would be no reason he couldn’t do so again on Sunday.

Today it was Jeremy Maclin’s chance to return serve. And Newsday's Barbara Barker was there for it.

"A lot of times when people talk, they’re either insecure or scared,” the Eagles receiver said. “You choose.”

The Giants have lost six straight to the Eagles, the most previous one an unforgettable collapse in the fourth quarter. That hasn’t stopped the Giants from talking, though, insisting that they want to face Vick. Rolle, as usual, is one of the louder voices from the Giants.

"I don't know what he's trying to do,” Maclin said, “but he's not going to intimidate anyone in this locker room."
