Chris Christie may not be looking for your votes, but Eli Manning is.
The Giants quarterback has been nominated for the FedEx Air NFL Players of the Week award for the second straight week. Last week he won NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors but was beaten out by Joe Flacco in the FedEx voting. This week, coming off his first 300-yard passing performance of the season, Manning is up against Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith.
Fans can vote for their favorite quarterback performance (as well as their favorite running back performance in the FedEx Ground Player of the Week) by going here.
A look at the candidates for the passing award:
Eli Manning completed 67.5 percent of his passes for 321 yards and two scores in the Giants’ 31-27 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Aaron Rodgers completed 29 of 38 passes for 408 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the Packers’ 49-23 win over the Denver Broncos. His 134.5 quarterback rating was the highest on the weekend.
Alex Smith threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns in the 49ers’ 24-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
