Mario Manningham wouldn’t put Darrelle Revis on a pedestal. But on Saturday, Manningham might not even be on the field.
The Giants wide receiver is listed as doubtful in the final injury report before the Jets game, meaning there is only a slim chance of him playing. That would further deplete a Giants’ receiving group that is already without tight end Jake Ballard (declared out with a knee injury).
Manningham has missed three games this year with knee troubles, but has played in the last two. He did not practice this week with what Tom Coughlin called “soreness” in his knee. Manningham had guaranteed earlier in the week that he would play.
Besides Ballard, the Giants also declared Osi Umenyiora (ankle) and Mark Herzlich (ankle) out.
