It’s the city so nice they named it twice. But could that name be “Manning?”
Peyton to the Jets? It sounds like we can count Eli in.
After some nervous laughter when the subject of the elephant in the room wearing the big number 18 jersey came up in his weekly interview on 1050 ESPN Radio, the Giants quarterback said he’d welcome his big brother to New York.
“Yeah, it’d be fun,” he said. “We could probably commute to work maybe, and we’d come home and eat dinner together, have the kids be playing … We could share notes on opponents and watch some film together.”
Clearly Eli was being a little humorous about the situation. But he did not seem to mind the concept.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen in that situation,” he said. “Would it be fun? Yeah. I think it would be interesting to have your brother in the same city playing football together. I don’t think we would see each other that often because our schedules would be a whole lot different, probably just talk on the phone more than see each other during the season. It would be interesting.
“I’m not saying it’s going to happen or I want it to happen, but to have your brother that close to you and playing in New York would be very unique.”
Don LaGreca then asked Eli if it would be a case of Peyton coming to HIS town.
“That’s right, that’s right,” Eli said.
