The Giants’ concerns in the secondary deepened a bit as the Falcons announced that Roddy White will play today. White is a part of the Falcons’ dynamic receiving duo with Julio Jones and although he did not practice at all this week with a knee injury and was deemed a gametime decision by Falcons coach Mike Smith, he will suit up.

That gives the Falcons their full allotment of receivers against a secondary that is stripped to its most inexperienced elements. Jayron Hosley will start at cornerback for the injured Prince Amukamara, Will Hill is expected to see plenty of snaps at safety so Antrel Rolle can play nickel, and Terrence Frederick, who was called up from the practice squad this week, is active and expected to play.

As for the Giants’ inactives, there were no surprises. Four players had already been ruled out: Ahmad Bradshaw, Prince Amukamara, Kenny Phillips and Tyler Sash. The three players who made the trip but won’t play are Adewale Ojomo, Marvin Austin and Adrien Robinson. Terrence Frederick will make his NFL debut after being called up from the practice squad yesterday.
