It was a tough couple of days for the Giants. First they lost to the Cowboys, then they had to go home on Monday night and watch their next opponent – the Eagles – destroy the Redskins on national television.
There’s very little chance the Giants will be overlooking the Eagles on Sunday.
Whether or not that means they can stop them and their quarterback – Mike Vick – remains to be seen. On his weekly interview with WFAN today, Antrel Rolle was asked about Vick and how the Giants plan to attack him.
“I don’t even know if you can actually contain a guy like Mike Vick,” Rolle said (which is probably not what Giants fans want to hear). “You can just do the best you can do against him and try to discourage him any which way you can, try to limit the things that he is most dominant at, which is passing, which is running.”
As for the exact gameplan, Rolle passed that question upstairs.
“That’s up for our defensive coordinator to come up with and it’s up to us to, whatever gameplan he comes up with, make sure we do it to the best of our abilities.”
“We know what kind of game we’re looking forward to come Sunday,” Rolle said. “They’re a very unique team they have a lot of prolific guys on their team who can make great plays at any given time. And the man leading their show is Michael Vick and right now we all know what he brings to the table. We’re in for a run for our money, but at the same time we’re also a great Giants team and we know that.”
