Rueben Randle is not an orator.

Sure, he's now the most senior member of the Giants' wide receiver corps with the loss of Victor Cruz, the player with the most receptions from Eli Manning in his career and the most tenure with the team (two and a half years!). But he doesn't see that as a reason to change.

"I just have to continue to be the person that I am," he said on Thursday. "Obviously there is more expected of me, but I don't think I have to change who I am. I just go out there and lead by example pretty much."

He's always been a low-key personality.

"I might say something here or there, coach might ask me to do that," he admitted of his new role as elder statesman in the receivers room, "but I don't think I have to get up and give any speeches or anything."

The biggest difference will probably be how defenses approach him.

"I just have to continue to do what I'm doing and whatever they throw at us we have to adjust to it," he said. "It's that simple."
