All of the sunshine that fell on the Giants when the Hakeem Nicks MRI results were learned has apparently been swallowed up by some rain that is moving through the Albany area today. It was raining pretty hard when I drove over this morning, but now it looks like it will be clearing up. In fact the Giants think that too because they are going to do their stretching and such indoors and then move the 8:35 a.m. practice outdoors onto one of the grass fields they use.

It'll be interesting to see who practices today and who doesn't. Mario Manningham said he would. Will he? The Giants said Hakeem Nicks might. Can he? Shaun O'Hara has not yet practiced in training camp. When might he?

Today is a two-a-day (although with a slightly different schedule; the afternoon session is actually an evening one starting around 6) so the usual lot of one-a-day guys will probably be missing this morning. The Giants will not want them running on a slick field anyway.

There were no practices yesterday, but of course that didn't mean nothing happened. It was actually a fairly busy day with the Nicks news and Osi Umenyiora speaking. Here are the stories that appeared in the newspaper:

Umenyiora reflects on his future with Giants

Giants say Hakeem Nicks is "fine"

Barden's boring camp

And then there's this one from Glauber:

Umenyiora ready for "most important season"
