Rule Number Two of trash talking: Get your facts straight.

While DeMarcus Ware was spot on about Justin Tuck’s hatred for the Cowboys, he was either misinformed or misremembers some of Tuck’s actual phrasing. Tuck said he does not ever recall calling Cowboys Stadium “a dump,” although he said that the old building came close to that kind of characterization.

As for Ware’s assertion that Tuck is only saying those things (or not saying them as the case may be) because he is jealous and wants to be a Cowboy, Tuck took exception to that as well.

“Hmm,” Tuck said. “I don’t wear Wranglers, I don’t wear cowboy hats or boots or those (belt buckles). I don’t wear none of that. And I don’t need a star on my helmet to tell me that I’m pretty good at what I do.

“I plan on retiring a Giant,” Tuck said.
