Justin Tuck was asked who on the Giants' defense can step in and replace Mathias Kiwanuka. His answer: "No one."
The Giants had to scurry to replace Kiwanuka when he was ruled out of the Bears game at around 4 o'clock on Friday afternoon last week with a bluging disc in his neck. They moved Jason Peirre-Paul into the rotation at defensive end, played a little more three-safety than they probably would have liked to, and even had Justin Tuck play some of the linebacker spots that Kiwanuka was in.
Now they have an entire week to get used to life without Kiwanuka.
"We’re just trying our best to adjust and buy time," Tuck said. "Kiwi is one of those players who can do multiple things and do them all at a high level. We have to just try to fiddle around with things right now (to do) the things that he came out did well for us at the beginning of this year."
