Tuck: Sanchez can get rattled

Justin Tuck used the word “great” to describe Mark Sanchez, but he used to next to a phrase that quarterbacks often take as an insult.

“I think he does a great job of managing the game,” Tuck said when asked for his impressions of the Jets’ quarterback. “I think sometimes he can get rattled when you take away his run game, but if he can hand the ball off to Shonn [Greene] and they can get him into those third-and-short situations or the second-and-short situations where he can throw the quick passes and get into a rhythm, they’re going to present a huge problem, especially with his mobility. But I think for us it all starts with being more physical than they are and stopping the run, something that we’ve had trouble with. That’s going to be a huge challenge for us.”

The Giants seem to believe that they’ll be able to reach Sanchez.

“I like our matchups, I like our chances, and I think we will get some sacks this week,” safety Kenny Phillips said.

As for the team’s leading sacker, Jason Pierre-Paul, Phillips said this:

“I don’t want to say he’s unblockable, but the way he’s playing right now you can draw that conclusion.”
