On Monday, while discussing his neck injury in an interview on WFAN, Justin Tuck said he was going to have an MRI. On Tuesday, in another interview on WFAN, he said that the MRI was not for his neck. “I don’t know how that got out,” he said in this morning’s appearance.

Tuck would not say what he was having examined, but Tom Coughlin said he suffered a groin injury in Sunday’s game as well as the neck issue, so it’s a good bet that’s where the scanners were focused. Not that it matters. Tuck could have had a whole-body scan that would make a TSA agent jumpy and he says he’ll be playing on Sunday against the Cardinals.

“The neck’s good,” Tuck said. “Just precautionary stuff. It’s football, guys are going to get banged up. So don’t worry about it. I’ll be out there Sunday.”
