TV rooting for Giants to get there on time

WEEK 9: GIANTS 41, SEAHAWKS 7 (Nov. 7, 2010)
No post-bye hangover for Big Blue. Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes and Danny Ware, Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs led a rush attack that totaled 197 yards in the shellacking.

Here's what Neil Best offers from the world of televsion:

"If the Giants do not arrive in Minneapolis in time for a 1 p.m. Eastern Time start Sunday, forcing a delay until 4:05, Fox still will show the Giants-Vikings game in the New York market but no 1 o'clock game. The network only has a singleheader this week, with Ch. 2 in New York slated to show the Steelers-Bengals game at 1 and Dolphins-Jets at 4:15. CBS has another big 4:15 game with the Patriots visiting the Bears. That is why, from a TV standpoint, the NFL would rather have the Giants play at 1 than in the late afternoon slot."

I still wouldn't rule a Monday night game out of the equation, though, considering the temperatures in Minneapolis, the weight of the snow on the roof of the Dome, and the dangers of getting all of those people in and out of the stadium. They might want to wait the extra day.

We'll, of course, keep you posted.
