Before we head out to OTAs this morning, I wanted to pass along information regarding a couple of upcoming events that won’t take place on a football field. Namely, Justin Tuck’s annual billiards tournament for his RUSH for Literacy program and David Tyree’s Charity Bowl. Both offer fans a chance to support good causes and play sports – although not football – with Giants players.
Tuck’s event is first, and it takes place Thursday at Slate NYC. It’s the fourth annual event of its kind.
“Thinking about where we started with RUSH for Literacy to where we are now is truly amazing,” Tuck said. “This event is a key component to our success over the past few years, and Lauran and I are so grateful to have everyone involved. From the sponsors, to the celebrities, to our close family and friends, we can’t thank everyone enough for helping us provide the tools to further childhood education.”
Limited tables, teams and individual tickets are also still available for the event. A portion of all sales is tax deductible and the proceeds will benefit Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy. For more information on participation, interested parties should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Then, next week, Tyree is hosting the Charity Bowl on the lanes at Chelsea Piers on June 5. Plenty of Giants players are going to be there, including Eli Manning and Victor Cruz. There are three ticket categories: tickets to bowl and mingle with Giants players are priced at $325 per person/$2,200 per lane; tickets to bowl with Giants players, elite access lounge and group photo with Eli are $1,000 per person/$8,000 per lane; and tickets to private bowling lanes with Eli and photo opportunities are $1,500. Corporate sponsorships are also available.
