I sent in my prediction for the Newsday special pullout section last night. Then I came out to practice today and saw that Tony Ugoh wasn’t working.

That changes everything! Get me rewrite!

Seriously, I know it’s not a big deal, but Ugoh has been pretty good at that sixth lineman job that Stacy Andrews had been playing at the beginning of the season. You know, until he nearly died. Cordle would be the next guy up at that position if Ugoh can’t U-go. Cordle was inactive on Sunday against the Cowboys.

The rest of the Giants news from practice was either positive or neutral. Jake Ballard (knee) was doing some drills and he said he would try to push himself a little harder today. We’ll see how that works out. Osi Umenyiora (ankle) was working again The only guys not practicing besides Ugoh were Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and Mark Herzlich (ankle). Herzlich might need some more time to get over his ankle injury and it’s pretty clear he won’t be available to the Giants this week. Bradshaw was on the bike early but was throwing passes to running backs in a drill at one point. He wasn’t participating in practice, but he was at least moving around. He’ll be expected to practice tomorrow and play on Sunday.
