Victor Cruz has a history of getting ruffled when opposing players mock his salsa dance, but apparently Matt Simms is free to shake his hips at will. The Jets' third-stringer celebrated his 11-yard touchdown pass to Greg Salas on Friday night by breaking into the dance that Cruz made famous. Cruz did not see it, but said Simms has his blessing.

"That's my guy," Cruz said. "Me and him, we train a little bit in the offseason together. He throws me a couple passes here and there when I need a quarterback over there with my trainer. He's good. He's a good dude."

Simms said it was a spur-of-the-moment dance and was not meant as an insult to his fellow New Jersey product.

So no salsa war?

"No biggie for me," Cruz said.
