Giants’ Weston Richburg, Devon Kennard agree to sign elsewhere, reports say

The Giants selected 35 players in the drafts from 2011 to 2015 and only three remain.

Two of the Giants’ 2014 draft picks have agreed to sign elsewhere in the opening stages of free agency, leaving only one selection from that class left on the roster: Odell Beckham Jr.

According to multiple reports on Tuesday, center Weston Richburg, a second-round pick of the Giants who missed most of 2017 on injured reserve with a concussion, will sign a five-year deal with the 49ers on Wednesday, while linebacker Devon Kennard, originally a fifth-round pick, will sign a three-year, $18.75 million deal with the Lions.

The Giants had little interest in retaining Richburg and moderate interest in Kennard.

Their departures — and the assumption that free-agent guard Justin Pugh and safety Nat Berhe won’t be back — will leave the Giants without any players on their roster from the drafts from 2011 through 2014. They also have only two players left from the 2015 draft: Ereck Flowers and Landon Collins.
