Indianapolis - Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland is still in contact with Bill Parcells, but it's now Ireland's show in Miami now that Parcells has bowed out as the team's football operations chief.

"Bill really doesn’t have a role with the Dolphins," Ireland said this morning at the NFL Scouting Combine. "He's been more of a consultant to [team owner Steve] Ross, a consultant to me. We have a good relationship, but as a role for the Miami Dolphins, he doesn’t have a role."

But Ireland still values Parcells' input, and he occasionally seeks him out.

"It could be anything like, 'Hey, have you seen this guy? Have you seen the Senior Bowl? How do you think this guy will transition to the NFL. Bill doesn't have the access to the film as well as I do, but he sees things differently than most people and I always like to see what his eyes are seeing."
