Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo didn't exactly have the easiest time of it in Friday night's preseason game against the Raiders. He was sacked three times in the first two series, and said afterward that he had a sore back.
Romo said he was fine after the game, according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News. But the fact that he already was experiencing back pains leads us to at least raise a caution flag. After all, Romo has had these back flareups from time-to-time; remember that pummeling he took against the Giants in the 2007 NFC divisional playoffs?
Romo and the Cowboys undoubtedly will try and minimize the issue, because we aren't even into the regular season. But it's worth keeping in the back of your mind moving forward.
"We'll go back and watch the tape," Romo said after the game. "One of those [sacks] we ended up running into each other on a route ... Another one, I held [the ball] too long ... Another one I can remember it just being the preseason in a sense ... Those are things we'll get synched."
