After visiting with Pittsburgh and then Baltimore, former Jets receiver Jerricho Cotchery has signed a one-year deal with the Stillers.

So much for any ideas that Cotchery might stay in New York by serving as the replacement for Steve Smith, who was signed last night by the Eagles to a one-year deal.

I thought J-Co would have made a solid contribution to the Giants' roster, especially after the crushing news that they'd lost Smith to the Iggles. Smith apparently spurned any chance for the Giants to match Philly's one-year, $4 million offer. The deal included a $2 million signing bonus.
