When the Jets lost to the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game, Jason Taylor's emotional press conference afterward indicated he was giving serious consideration to retirement.
But the 36-year-old linebacker will give it one more try in 2011. Taylor announced on his charitable foundation's Facebook page today that he's coming back ... to the Dolphins ... again. It will be his third go-round with the team that drafted him in 1997.
"We are very excited to share with all of you that Jason has made his decision regarding where he is playing for the upcoming 2011 season," the entry read. "Jason is coming home to MIAMI and will once again proudly wear the aqua and orange! He hasn’t told anyone yet, so let’s just keep this between us! Shhh!"
We'll see how much Taylor has left, but he was somewhat underwhelming during his one season with the Jets. He finished with five sacks and had two forced fumbles, acknowledging after the season that his play was disappointing.
