Pizza, Italian, Vegetarian, Pasta
Lunch, Healthy Eating
Seeing the word "pizza" on the sign may lead potential patrons to think this is just another joint that sells slices and other basic Italian food, but the reality is that 3 Brothers is quite special among its pizza-selling peers. In fact, the real house specialty is the vegetarian menu--not just a beef-free selection, but an actual vegan venue where those who take their specific diet seriously can do so. Appetizers like tofu cakes and buffalo soy drumsticks are available to lead into salads, pastas and entrées that are completely meatless (such as wheat gluten Marsala and eggplant Rollantini). Even the aforementioned sauce-and-dough pies can be had minus dairy, as daiya vegan cheese is available to replace the milk-based mozzarella--but don't be afraid to stop by in fear that your options are limited to vegetarian only, as there as several dishes of chicken, seafood, pasta and pizza made in standard recipes (Piccata, Francaise, Parmigiana, among others) as well.
