The Jets slapped Bart Scott with a $10,000 fine for his actions in the locker room Monday.

Scott made an obscene gesture at a photographer, saying, "Take a picture of this. Get out of my [expletive] face."

In a statement announcing the fine, the Jets said: "Bart’s actions were inappropriate and unacceptable."

Newsday reported on Monday that Scott, who took a $1 million pay cut in August from his initial salary of roughly $5 million, won't be back next season. Asked Monday as he exited the locker room if he'll indeed be gone, the linebacker said: "I don’t know why, I’ve got a guaranteed contract for $4 million.”

Scott didn't play as many snaps as he did during his first two seasons, when he totaled 173 combined tackles and two sacks. He was replaced by Josh Mauga particularly on passing downs, but also gave way in other situations.
