Bart Scott, whose 119 straight consecutive regular-season game streak was snapped because of a toe injury, said swelling – and not pain – is the issue. “The linebacker will make the trip even if he’s ruled out. Scott said he would assist coaches on the sidelines with younger players, “plus, I still don’t have power. Get a free hotel trip and some food,” he joked.

KR/RB Joe McKnight, who hasn’t practiced all week because of a high ankle sprain, seems unlikely to play. Special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff said Clyde Gates and Antonio Cromartie will split kick-return duties in his absence.

…After not practicing Wednesday, NT Kenrick Ellis (knee) was limited yesterday.

…Former Jet and current Seahawks WR Braylon Edwards (knee) was limited in practice, while DE Red Bryant (foot), S Kam Chancellor (quad), RB Marshawn Lynch (back/wrist), S Richard Sherman (illness) and a few others did not practice.

...Ryan was asked if he regretted not re-signing Edwards. "Would things have been different had Holmes had an injury earlier? I don't know," said Ryan, who added that he has "a great deal of admiration and respect" for Edwards.
