That was the only real news from Childress' conference call with reporters here at the Jets facility this morning. Moss will play Monday against the Jets, but how much, Childress wouldn't say.
Childress said he only briefly met with Moss before the Vikings gathered for an 8:30 a.m. team meeting, but Childress does not foresee Moss being an immediate problem child in Minny as reports of Moss' fractured relationship with Patriots coach Bill Belichick are leaking out.
"There's six or seven guys who were here when (Moss) was here before, and I think there are guys who will be able to make him comfortable," Childress said. "I would say that this is a completely different building, and organization, than when he was here before, by virtue of the fact of the comings and goings of players, as well as the culture in the organization. We just kind of went through some of those things.
"I wish I could tell you I'd spoken to him in depth. He was up at the crack of dawn, getting physicals and those sorts of things. He just made it to my office about 10 minutes before the team met at 8:30."
We'll be hearing from Brett Favre in a bit and have all of his comments up here soon after.
