Brandon Moore, the Jets' right guard  who has missed all of preseason following right hip surgery in early February,  was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform (or PUP) list Friday and participated for the first time in the morning walkthrough. But Moore does not expect to be ready to play in Monday’s game.

“I feel good,” Moore said. “We’ve done a lot of work with [strength and conditioning coach] Bill Hughan in the strength room and [head trainer] John Mellody in the training room. I’m just getting back acclimated, going through my footwork patterns and kind of football drill-type things to see where I was, and also rehabbing. I feel like today is a day I can kind of move forward.”

Moore, whom Ryan calls the “best right guard in football”, said his health is still not 100 percent but being back out on the field in bits and pieces is a positive sign.

“I miss it,” Moore said. “I want to get back out there with the guys and get in the groove. But I’ve got to take my time, understand the process and go step by step.”
