The Jets will hold a retirement news conference for D’Brickashaw Ferguson at their Florham Park, New Jersey, facility at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The Freeport native announced his decision to walk away from the NFL at age 32 in a heartfelt letter to fans on Saturday.

The fourth overall pick in 2006, Ferguson never missed a practice or a play because of injury in 167 regular season and playoff games during his 10-year career. The left tackle also was a three-time Pro Bowler.

In a statement to the team’s website, Jets owner Woody Johnson said Ferguson “will be remembered as one of the finest players in Jets history.”
