Cornerback Darrelle Revis (hamstring) and linebacker Calvin Pace (foot) both took part in team drills during the portion of Jets practice the media was allowed to watch Friday morning. On one play, Revis ran from his spot at left cornerback to the opposite side of the field to chase down a wide receiver running out a reverse up the sideline.
Revis wasn't going full blast by any means, but he appeared to run with ease until he tapped the simulated Denver player on the shoulder. Coach Rex Ryan has said it will be his decision as to whether or not Revis plays against the Broncos after he experienced soreness and swelling in the hamstring following the Jets' Monday night win over Minnesota. With a bye week coming up after the Denver game, it would give Revis time to get closer to 100 percent for the rest of the season, but the Broncos are a pass-oriented offense.
There's always the possibility Ryan could have used Revis and Pace in the media-observed portion of the workout to keep the Broncos guessing up until gametime about what to expect. Revis also was involved in an off-the-field incident Thursday when he reportedly was issued a ticket for speeding and careless driving.
Check back later for an update after locker-room interviews and Ryan's daily briefing.
